Emmecon Oy is specialised in designing microprocessor based stand alone application specific measuring and control systems (Embedded measuring and control)

Our customers and partners operate in the the field of international research, defence and consumer electronics.

Our ideology relies on the mandra of the 'mechatronics' of the 80's , according to which the most effective way to realise electromechanical equipment is to design the electronics, software and mechanics in parallel. Tasks can be transferred from hardware to software or vice versa - where ever it is most effective to perform them. All electronics, software and electromechanics has been designed IN HOUSE. 

Our main application area is Health and Usage Monitoring (HUMS) including Structural Health Monitoring (SHM). We have three products, EMM-SHM, EMM-HUMS and EMM-COLL which cover application platforms from military aircrafts to forest cranes. Platform to be measured only has to have 12V to 36V power source – and some communication channel for data exchange.

Our intention from the very beginning has been to develop measuring devices with some level analysis included  - not data streamers - that is what we have realized.

Main sensor technology for structural measurements (SHM) is resistive strain gage. We also measure acceleration, angle speeds, pressure, temperature, voltage stream video, etc. from measuring device built in sensors or external ones connected to measuring device with some data bus.

Emmecon Oy started at the beginning of the century by participating in European Defense Agency (EDA) projects AHMOS-I and AHMOS-II (Active Heath MOnitoring System). Major European defense companies and institutes were involved.

We also have been involved in projects: F-18 oil quality measuring system for Finnish Air Forces (FINAF), F-18 original loads monitoring extension (FINAF) , F-18 neural network based life assessment  (FINAF) ... and a number of other projects....

MEASURING DEVICE was integrated into PODs 'laboratory' setup in parallel with another measuring system from european partners.
